Intelligent Care is a brand of Stretchers Industries OOD, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Its team of engineers and designers develops custom-made solutions for modern medical facilities, from motorized stretchers to complete isolation rooms, with a focus on the safety and comfort of patients and of the professionals who care for them. Isolation units: infection control medical equipment for every care setting
Incare isolation units are infection control medical equipment that convert a stretcher, a bed, a chair, a doorway or an entire room into a sealed environment with controlled negative or positive air pressure.
Air passes through NBC filters. The stretcher and bed units use a U15 (ULPA) filter with an efficiency of 99.9975%, tested to block solid and liquid particles of average size up to 0.3 microns, while the Pandora modular room is built with H14 (HEPA) filters, with U15 available on request. Protects the environment
The unit is kept at a lower pressure than the room, so air enters and leaves only through the filter. Pathogens released by an infected patient stay inside while the patient is transported, diagnosed or treated.
Protects the patient
Filtered air keeps the unit at a higher pressure than the room, so outside air cannot reach the patient. This mode is used for immunocompromised patients, such as cancer patients or people with weakened immune defenses.

Power-assisted beds and stretchers for safer patient handling
The power-assisted line adds a motorized, retractable fifth wheel to stretchers and beds, so a single caregiver can push and steer heavy loads over humps, cables and slopes.
The system combines operating handles with electric brake and directional control and a speed limit switch, and reduces start-up push force and steering effort by up to 50%. It is available on the Moovie emergency stretcher, the Lotus delivery bed and the STR MK 10 bariatric bed, as well as on the motorized versions of the isolation units, STR MK 5 and STR MK 8. The range also includes an electric handbike for wheelchairs.

Intelligent Care is part of Stretchers Industries OOD, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. In July 2026 the Pithos isolation chamber was commissioned at the University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases "Prof. Ivan Kirov" in Sofia, Bulgaria's national reference center for infectious diseases, in a ceremony attended by Bulgarian and Italian health authorities.
In April 2025 the team presented its infection control medical equipment at IPC 2025 Infection Prevention & Control, at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.
