Next-Generation Isolation Chamber Commissioned at „проф. Ivan KirovHospital in Sofia

We are proud to announce that our next-generation isolation chamber has been officially commissioned at the University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases „проф. Ivan Kirovin Sofia, Bulgaria’s national reference center for infectious disease diagnosis, treatment, and control. The commissioning ceremony, held on July 21, was attended by senior Bulgarian and Italian health authorities and institutional representatives.

A state-of-the-art isolation chamber, Питос, supplied by the Bulgarin company Stretchers Industries, has been officially commissioned at the University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases „проф. Ivan Kirovin Sofia — Bulgaria’s national reference center for the diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases.

The official ceremony, held on July 21, was attended by Assoc. проф. Angel Kunchev, Chief State Health Inspector of the Republic of Bulgaria, and H.E. Marcello Apicella, Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria, together with representatives of Bulgarian and Italian health institutions.

The chamber was supplied by Stretchers Industries, an innovative startup registered in Bulgaria and specialized in the development and manufacturing of high-technology solutions for biological isolation and biosafety. The company provided the isolation chamber to the hospital in partnership with the Bulgarian-Italian Foundation Black Sea and Mediterranean Medical Academy and Confindustria Bulgaria, the association representing Italian entrepreneurship in Bulgaria.

During the ceremony, Assoc. проф. Kunchev and Ambassador Apicella symbolically affixed theBiohazardsticker, officially marking the commissioning of the new facility. The isolation chamber will enhance the hospital’s capacity for the safe isolation and treatment of patients with high-risk infectious diseases, while providing an increased level of protection for both patients and medical staff.
